Why these are free
Most SA businesses do not have a standing relationship with an attorney for the small, recurring agreements they sign every week. They reach for whatever template Google or ChatGPT surfaces. Often it’s drafted for another country, or it’s outdated, or it’s missing the one clause that actually matters in South African law.
These templates are our small contribution to fixing that. They are drafted by a South African attorney, under South African law, with the statutory pinpoints (s 22(3), s 21 POPIA, s 13 ECTA) that matter in practice.
They are not legal advice. Use them as starting points. For real money on the table, real risk, or industry-specific complexity, get a bespoke version from us or another attorney you trust.
Need this drafted bespoke?
When the deal value, risk or complexity justifies bespoke drafting, we offer fixed-fee commercial drafting from R12,000 and 24-hour contract review from R7,500.
