Frequently Asked Questions
Are the fees inclusive of VAT?
No. All fees are quoted exclusive of 15% VAT. The price-list figures on this page include VAT for convenience; your engagement letter quotes the excl-VAT fee.
When do I pay?
Up-front, to book your scoping consultation. After you choose your agreement type, you pay the fixed fee online to secure your consultation slot. If, after the consultation, we cannot proceed with your matter, the fee is refunded.
How long does drafting take?
Typically 5 to 10 working days depending on the complexity of the agreement. The timeline is confirmed during the scoping consultation.
How many rounds of revision are included?
One round of revisions to the draft we deliver is included in the fixed fee. Further rounds of revision, redrafting to reflect a counterparty's markup, and negotiation with the counterparty are not included — each is quoted and agreed with you before any further work begins.
Do you travel or attend in person?
No. The scoping consultation and revision round are conducted online or by phone. Travel and in-person attendance are not included in the fixed fee and are quoted separately if required.
Can you negotiate the counterparty's markup?
Yes. Negotiation support can be quoted separately or provided on an hourly basis. This is a common add-on to the drafting engagement.
Do you draft employment contracts?
Yes. Employment and engagement agreements — standard and fixed-term employment contracts, restraint of trade, executive and director service agreements, independent contractor and consultancy agreements, and a workplace policies pack — are in our fixed-fee drafting catalogue, at the per-document price shown on the price list. Contentious labour matters (CCMA referrals, disciplinary processes) are quoted separately.
